Now that the year is ending, it’s time to talk about my Top 10 favorite and least favorite movies of the year. I guess the year was okay for movies overall. There were some movies that really really let us all down but in the end there were some pretty amazing ones too. I’m gonna get the worst movies of the year out of the way first. So there are movies that you’ll see on a lot of movie reviewers list like Norm of the North or Nine Lives that you won’t see on this lists because I don’t waste my brain on crap like that.
Before I get started on my lists, There may be some movies you may be wondering why they aren’t on my lists. It's probably because I either haven’t seen or heard of them. So here’s a list of movies I saw that were released this year that didn’t make any of my lists: Kung Fu Panda 3, Hail, Caesar!, Deadpool, Zootopia, The Jungle Book, The Angry Birds Movie, Money Monster, Now You See Me 2, Finding Dory, Batman: The Killing Joke, Nerve, Suicide Squad, Hell or High-Water, Kubo and the Two Strings, Sully, Deepwater Horizon, The Accountant, Doctor Strange, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The Beatles: Eight Days a Week, Moana, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
So now any other movie that I didn’t mention just now and isn’t on my list, I probably haven't seen it yet. I would have really liked to see and I think could have made my best list are movies like A Monster Calls, Silence, Jackie, Paterson, Loving, Midnight Special, Cafe Society, Swiss Army Man, etc. So now that that's out of the way, let’s begin.

10. Jason Bourne This movie made me leave the theater very depressed. Almost nothing that I love about the first 3 movies is in the new movie. I went in expecting to see another amazing action-filled adventure. But because I went in expecting that, I was really really bored with this movie.” that’s what I said in my review. I don’t hate this movie. I just think that it was extremely underwhelming, especially for a Bourne movie with Matt Damon starring and Paul Greengrass directing. I don’t get why this movie couldn’t be good. The best scenes from this movie aren’t as good as the worst fight scenes from the first 3. Even some of the good scenes from the trailers aren’t even good in the movie! It’s still better than Bourne Legacy. Please! do another one and get it right!

09. My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 Yet another passable comedy sequel that’s just the whole first movie all over again. Like Dumb and Dumber To. It had a few new jokes that I thought were funny but a lot of the movie is just the same jokes being told a second time and it’s not funny. And my family loves the first movie. I think the first movie is really funny. My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 isn’t funny at all.

08. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice What in the world DC? The movie is called Batman v Superman. Why?! They literally have one fight scene and we don’t understand why they’re fighting or why they stop fighting. What in the world?! The movie should just be called “Dawn of Justice” because that’s all it is!!! It’s them setting up the Justice League and they end with the grand finale with half the Justice League v Doomsday. I can’t stand the director Zack Snyder. It’s not very high on my list because it’s not a terrible movie. It’s a passable movie. It’s got some fun fighting action scenes but it’s just passable. And so much stuff makes no sense at all!!! #martha

07. Warcraft Wow was this movie dumb! Warcraft was completely forgettable. The acting is horrible. Everything felt completely stupid. Everything that’s supposed to be cool is just over the top and stupid. It will say there are SOME fun action scenes. I haven’t played the game so anything that the movie is going to do for the fans means nothing to me. As a movie, it’s really bad. The trailer looked awesome but the best moments from the trailer are boring in the actual movie. The characters are awful. Every time the story had to option to become a little interesting it goes a different direction. I would be open to seeing a sequel if they do SOMETHING to make it good. But for now, this movie is really bad.

06. Free State of Jones Such a boring movie. So boring. Don’t think that I’m the kind of guy that doesn’t like history movies. I actually really like this genre. I love Steven Spielberg’s “Lincoln”. Free State of Jonesis so dang boring. And I saw this I think at a 10:30 showing. Nothing ever happens except Matthew McConaughey gives a crap load of speeches and his friends go hide in the woods and the movie ends. That’s pretty much all that happens. Matthew McConaughey did a great job but that’s pretty much the only good thing about this movie. It had a lot of potential to be a fun rebellion movie but I think the filmmakers decided to just tell the true story exactly in the most boring and emotionless way. Don’t watch this movie unless you feel like taking a sleeping pill in the shape of a movie.

05. Mrs. Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children Why did I see this movie? I thought that Tim Burton making his version of X-Men would possibly be a good movie. Tim Burton can’t make characters that act like humans. He has a dad in this movie who just lets a random group of kids off the street escort his son to a place he needs to be thinking it would be safer that way. And Tim Burton seems to think that we’re going to enjoy Asa Butterfield taking selfies with the children. And random scenes with creepy stop-motion puppets. And the movie kept reminding me of the world I live in by throwing in selfies and modern day music instead of letting me escape into this fantasy world. And the movie focusses on the boring normal character. This movie sucks.

04. Zoolander 2 I like the first movie. There are some really funny jokes and it’s got a funny plot. Zoolander 2 has none of that. It’s got an absurd amount of celebrity cameos. Are we supposed to think that random celebrities showing up is funny?. A comedy movie that is rarely funny. When I finished watching this movie I was worn out by all the stupid humor. Everything in this stupid movie is completely awkward. I will say that the opening scene is awesome. If you saw the movie you know what I’m talking about. But anyway, this movie shouldn’t exist. Moving on.

03. Jack Reacher: Never Go Back Way to ruin a good character Edward Zwick. In the first movie, you’ve got Tom Cruise a guy who comes and goes where he wants to and likes nobody. They make a second one and think “You know what would be great? is if we basically gave Jack Reacher a family”. So now we have Cobie Smulders trying to be cool and has married couple type arguments with Tom Cruise and we have an annoying girl who doesn’t listen and ruins everything both going everywhere with Jack Reacher. What a waste of Tom Cruise. It’s not higher on my list because the one good Tom Cruise scene was really good. Let me once again quote my friend Gabriel George. "The motion picture Jack Reacher: Never Go Back is a small step above most Friday night Hallmark movies but far below the Trinity Broadcasting Networks Left Behind 2: Tribulation Force. Rather than seeing this film I highly recommend that you get your affairs in order and then wrap your lips around a muffler".

02. Independence Day: Resurgence This was actually the first movie that I had reviewed in a long time and I haven’t stopped since. This movie was completely stupid and boring and it kinda ruins some things about the original movie. It’s not funny and is no fun and has nothing memorable at all. They could have made it more interesting by maybe having characters that are actually good or having more time with Jeff Goldblum or bringing back Will Smith. Nope instead we get stupid characters and boring Jeff Goldblum scenes and Will Smith’s character is dead. Which ruins everything about the happy ending of the first one. And the stakes are lower than the first one. That’s right! I care less about the invasion in the second one. Why in the world would you lower the stakes in the sequel? Why?! So this movie manages to kinda ruin the first one and it bores the crap out of you. Independence Day: Resurgence..….you SUCK!

01. Alice Through the Looking Glass This movie was so amazingly terrible. I hated this movie so much. The whole story revolves around Alice going back in time I think to save The Mad Hatter’s family (that’s right he’s got a family) while along the way seeing both the Mad Hatter and the Red Queen’s origin story. This was completely stupid. I don’t give a crap about how the Mad Hatter went mad. Or why the crap the Red Queen’s head is big. Why do I need to know that?! Why?!!?! It ends up being she just bumped her head and she was angry so it for some reason grows. Because you know magic. And in the theater, I thought it would all okay if they would just give me some awesome Johnny Depp scenes like in the first one. Nope. He’s told to just act all wimpy and fragile. So Johnny Depp is what could have been the best and only good part of the movie and he isn’t given time to be awesome. I hate this movie. I really hate this movie.
Well, that’s my worst movies of the year list. I’m glad that’s over. So as far as bad movies went this year, there weren’t a lot of bad movies. I said on my list that I didn’t hate Jason Bourne. It still wasn’t an amazing year for movies because there were a lot of passable and disappointing movies, but not necessarily bad movies. But now I get to be positive. Later I’ll post my list of the best movies of the year. I’m looking forward to that.
