  • ahhhhhhhhhhhh...........Dreamworks you've done it again!

  • Plot Summary: "A new baby's arrival impacts a family, told from the point of view of a delightfully unreliable narrator -- a wildly imaginative 7-year-old named Tim. The most unusual Boss Baby (Alec Baldwin) arrives at Tim's home in a taxi, wearing a suit and carrying a briefcase. The instant sibling rivalry must soon be put aside when Tim discovers that Boss Baby is actually a spy on a secret mission, and only he can help thwart a dastardly plot that involves an epic battle between puppies and babies."

  • I'm gonna shoot it to you straight, this movie is not good. And that's not a surprise from a Dreamworks movie. Dreamworks Animation is a company that is constantly taking interesting or funny concepts and stretching them out into a full-length movie. I know that there was a guy at Dreamworks who said: "What if there was a movie with a baby that acts like a boss and has meetings about making sure that babies stay at the top of the cuteness chart above puppies." And then a producer said, "Good idea let's take that and throw some cheap jokes and we'll make a FORTUNE!."

  • I actually think there's a good detail in this movie that could have been a good story itself. The older brother Tim has a wild imagination. I actually thought the scenes showing his imagination were interesting. This movie could have been very dramatic and good if it would have been a Finding Neverland type movie and focused on this kids imagination and how he uses that to deal with making room for his little brother. Ah! but who cares let's just make a movie where the baby acts like a boss and they go on a crazy adventure that no one cares about.

  • As I said, Dreamworks is a company that takes interesting concepts and stretches them. The beginning is sorta funny. It's kinda funny watching the parents acting like scared workers for the baby. But once the movie actually has to have a plot, it's lazy and no one cares. There are a few scenes that will make you chuckle while you're watching him talk and move like a boss. The Boss Baby is a comedy that is rarely funny. It has I'm guessing 7 jokes that landed. And 4 of those jokes are milked for all they're worth. It's just a long string of cheap and lazy jokes that fall flat. It's written by people that just want their paycheck. They're going to write the plot as fast and as lazy as they can so they can be done.

  • I didn't like The Boss Baby. I'd say it's a little funnier than the movie Sing from last year. So if you liked Sing, maybe you'll like this. But in my theater, there were only a few people that giggled at a few of the jokes. I think that there is a message for kids about dealing with getting a younger sibling (honestly you could just watch Toy Story for that). But still, The Boss Baby was a rarely funny movie with a funny concept that stretched as far as it can be. By the end, all I could think about is when it was going to end. My grade for The Boss Baby is a C-. I only recommend this movie when you can watch for free on Netflix or something. You've got so many good movies out right now to go see. You've got Beauty and the Beast, Ghost in the Shell, Logan, Life, Gifted, go see one of those. Don't give Dreamworks your money so they can make The Boss Baby 2 with Melissa McCarthy.
