This is a NON-Spoiler review for Lion. Now I get to review a fantastic movie.

Plot Summary: "A five-year-old Indian boy gets lost on the streets of Calcutta, thousands of kilometers from home. He survives many challenges before being adopted by a couple in Australia; 25 years later, he sets out to find his lost family."

Wow! this movie was amazing. It's made extremely well. Both actors who play the main character - Dev Patel being the older version and a kid named Sunny Pawar, both crushed it. Two really great kid performances this year from Sunny Pawar and Lewis MacDougall (A Monster Calls). The whole cast including Rooney Mara and Nicole Kidman did very well. The cinematography is really great. The writing is awesome.

This movie sets up the one goal of finding his family so perfectly with the build and the pacing that you're dying to see that accomplished. It was an incredibly emotional journey. I nearly cried and I loved this movie to death. It's my 4th best movie of 2016 on my 4th choice to win Best Picture. Which by the way if you missed any of the movies nominated for Best Picture, they are coming back to theaters. So if you missed fantastic movies like Hacksaw Ridge, La La Land or Arrival then you've got another shot. Which is why I got to see this movie. Lion is an amazing movie with two fantastic performances and an awesome emotional story and that's why I'm giving it an A+. Don't go see The Space Between Us I beg you! Please support great films like Lion.
