This is a NON-Spoiler review for Hidden Figures.

Plot Summary: "Three brilliant African-American women at NASA -- Katherine Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe) -- serve as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn (Glen Powell) into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation's confidence, turned around the Space Race and galvanized the world."

I liked this movie. I thought it was pretty enjoyable. It's very well written with good dialogue and good and likable characters. The acting is pretty great. Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monáe are all really great and have really good chemistry. I'm not a Kevin Costner fan, not that I think he isn't a good actor, I just have never really liked him, but I liked him here and he really worked for me in this role. The movie reminded me a little bit of The Devil Wears Prada. There's a lot of great moments between the characters. And of course, the racist characters are exhausting.

I've got one complaint and it's that the score was sometimes a bit weird. But that's it. Overall Hidden Figures was a pretty funny and very well written with characters you care about and a feel-good movie with a good story with an awesome title. It's an important chapter in the story of space travel. I recommend checking out Hidden Figures this weekend unless you haven't seen La La Land yet. My grade for Hidden Figures is a B
